Punk Britannia clips

  3. Yes. Punk Britannia at the BBC was excellent. Instead of the usual clips that have been shown time and time again there was the Count Bishops on Top of the Pops (never knew they appeared on it!) from '78, The Skids doing "The Saint's are Coming" (again, I hadn't seen this before), different TOTP clips for Sham and Eddie & the Hot Rods plus The Lurkers "Ain't Got a Clue from '78. I hadn't seen the Lurkers clip since it's original broadcast and can't make my mind up if it wa "live" or mimed - classic. My parents didn't have colour tv until mid 1980 so it was great to see many of the clips in colour for the first time. Pity they didn't include Radio Star's "Nervous Wreck" though.

    I am sure that most of the clips have found their way to You Tube by now. Also worth looking for on You Tube are clips from the tv series "Revolver" which was broadcast in '78. I think almost all of the only series is on You Tube now.
