Immaculate Consumptive - Danceteria, NYC 10-30-83

Immaculate Consumptive were a short lived band that featured Lydia Lunch, Nick Cave, Mark Almond and Clint Ruin from Foetus. apparently they only played three shows one in Washington DC and two in New York City. The backing tracks were recorded in a studio prior to the gigs and they sung over these at the show. Blue Turk is an Alice cooper song and In The Ghetto is the Elvis Presley song. This is an audience recording. Sound quality is good.

Ramones - Showplace, Dover NJ 9-19-76

This show is an audience recording. The band played two shows in 1976 at the Showplace in Dover New Jersey. The first was June 10 and the second was September 19. I'm not sure this show was recorded on either of those dates because Joey introduces I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend as the next single, and California Sun as the b-side of the next single. That suggests, according to the gigography, this show is from CBGB  January 30 or 31, 1976 of February 1, 1976 because that single was released in February 1976. Anyone have other ideas? Track 14 cuts off and the beginning of track 15 is cut off probably due to tape flip. Sound quality is good.

Bad Brains - 1979 + 1983

The Max's show is a soundboard recording. The first song is the last song of the first set and the rest is the second set. My cassette dates the show as 2-79 but some expert somewhere has determined this show is actually from the December date I am using. There's a bootleg of the complete first set around. Does anyone have it? Sound quality is mostly excellent. The 1983 show is also a soundboard recording with excellent sound quality. Can anyone identify the location and exact date.

Dead Boys - Max's, NYC 1976-1977

Both of these shows are audience recordings. I got them from one of the guys involved in taping them. One of the guys kept the originals and he first copied them onto 8-track tape and from that onto cassette tape. So my tape is 3rd generation. There's no date on the tape only that it's from Max's during the long hair days. The first song of the first show has been posted on Youtube by Johnny Blitz and he dates the show to the date I am using. The second show is on the same tape but must be from later in 1977 because they plays the songs in the order of how they appear on the album and someone in the audience is yelling for them to play Anarchy In The UK to which Stiv replies Johnny Rotten is in the audience. So, this show must be from CBGB sometime around the time the first album was released in October. Anyone else have any ideas? Sound quality is good on both.

New York Dolls - Yellow Balloon, Syracuse NY 9-28-74

Here's an audience recording by a legendary band. The nice surprise here is the playing of a new song titled Teenage News which was never properly recorded by The Dolls. Peter Jordan plays bass on this and Buddy Bowser plays sax. The aborted version of Trash happened because the electric shorted out. There is a bit of distortion during the first songs but sound quality is good.

STP - demo 1990

STP were an all-girl Grunge band from New York City and featured ex-members of the Dust Devils, Pussy Galore, and Honeymoon Killers. They only existed a short time and managed to only release one 7inch ep. Tracks 1-4 on this tape are the songs on that ep and tracks 5 and 7 have appeared on bootleg records. Sound quality is excellent.

Lydia Lunch - Live 1981

13.13 were fronted by Lydia Lunch and the backing band were three members of the Los Angeles band The Weirdos. They released one LP on the Ruby label. This live show is one continuous piece of music played for 30 minutes. I added track marks but don't know if I added them at the correct spots. Can someone who likes the band figure it out? It's an audience recording with good sound quality. The Milan show is also an audience recording. The first song is a long instrumental. Does anyone know the song title? Sound quality is good.

Idols - Max's Kansas City, NYC 5-03-78

I posted this show a few years back from a different source. This is an upgrade in sound quality. This was the first appearence of the Idols in New York. The band was formed in London by Barry Jones and Steve Dior on Guitars and Vocals. The drummer was Jerry Nolan from Dolls and Heartbreakers and the bass player on this show is introduced as Simon. They played a few shows in London before relocating to New York City when Jerry Nolan's visa expired. At the end of the summer Arthur Kane joined the band on bass and they backed up Sid Vicious at his New York shows. In 1979 they released their only single. Jones and Dior moved back to London in 1979 and renamed the band London Cowboys. This is an audience recording.

Television - Live 1975 + 1977

These are both audience recordings. The CBGB show is an early show and features Richard Hell on bass and the band plays a very interesting version of Blank Generation. Sound quality is good. The Whisky show, I believe, was the one where the Damned were supposed to play but Television didn't want to play with them which resulted in the Damned later writing the song Idiot Box about it. Sound quality is good.

Milk 'N' Cookies - Whiskey, Los Angeles 8-10-77

Milk 'n' Cookies were a PowerPop band from New York City that formed in 1973. In 1974 they went to England. There Sal Maida, former bass player for Roxy Music, joined the band and they record their only album, which was released in 1975. By early 1977 guitarist Ian North left the band and eventually formed a new band called Neo who had two songs on the Live At The Vortex album released in 1977. Milk 'n' Cookies went back to the US and added two guitarist to replace Ian North. They played around for a year or so but never released another record. This show recorded in Los Angeles has them as the opening band for Ramones. The introduction is by Rodney Bingenheimer. No new songs are played but they do two covers, The Best Part Of Breakin' Up, a song by The Ronettes, which is introduced as a song from their upcoming single, and a Beatles cover of You Can't Do That. This is an audience recording and had good sound quality. I got this copy in a cdr swap about 8 years ago and, unfortunately, the first song skips.

The Wolverines were a San Francisco band that existed long enough to release one single, in 1981. They play 1960s style Garage Rock. Hector Penalosa, from the Zeros, was the bassist and Bruce Slesinger, from the Dead Kennedys, was the drummer. The guitarist was Eric Calhoun who joined MDC in 1989. This is a soundboard recording and is excellent quality.

Avengers - Demos + Interview 1978 + Old Waldorf 1979

While the demos are the same songs they are either different recordings or different mixes. I'm not sure if any of these versions have been released on any of the collections that have been released in the last 15 years or not. Sound quality is very good. Eight of the ten songs from the Old Waldorf show were released but the first two have never been officially released as far as I can find. It's from a radio broadcast so the dj can be heard speaking before a couple songs and there is bleed through from another station. The sound quality is very good.
